Music maestro A. R. Rahman, who won the Academy Award for composing the music of Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire, has got a street named after him in Markham, Ontario, Canada.
Taking to Twitter the Mozart of Madras posted a picture of himself holding a signboard of the street. “Welcome to my street! (In Markham, ON, Canada),” he posted along with the picture.
Apart from Oscars, the talented musician has also been conferred with other prestigious awards like Grammy Awards, BAFTA Award, Golden Globe and National Film Awards among others.
