Shah Rukh Khan: 'It's great to have competition'

Shah Rukh Khan's last release Chennai Express created history by breaking all the previous box-office records and recently, a few actors claimed that their upcoming films will break the records set by the Rohit Shetty directed flick. However, the King Khan is undeterred by such statements, as he feels that it's great to have competition.

At an event when he was asked to react on the statements given by his competitors, the King Khan said, “It's great to have competition and whenever somebody's film works we feel good. We hear and talk a lot of things but the truth is that whenever somebody's film works we feel that we'll make a film better than this and also that we'll make a film better than our own.”

“My experience says that we should give our 100 per cent to our films and if they turn out to be good, then try and make the next one even better and I think everyone does that so it's not a matter of controversy or issue. I hope every film does well, I hope every film does the biggest business whenever it releases and when the next one comes it does better than that,” he further added.

SRK is presently busy with Farah Khan's Happy New Year, which will see him opposite Deepika Padukone.
