Aamir Khan Conferred With Inaugural America Abroad Media Award In US, For Satyamev Jayate

Aamir Khan, who won accolades from all sections of the society for his chat show Satyamev Jayate, was recently conferred with a prestigious US award for his contribution to the society through his show, which dealt with social evils prevalent in India.

Mr. Perfectionist was presented with the Inaugural America Abroad Media Award along with Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow and the International Center on Non-violent Conflict (ICNC) at a function in Washington, which was attended by city's who's who, including those from the State Department, Pentagon and diplomats.

Post the ceremony, in a panel discussion, the 47-year-old said that he and his team are trying to do this show with a lot of love as they feel that they are not only a part of the problem, but also a part of the solution. Aamir was accompanied by his wife Kiran Rao at the ceremony.

Khan also informed that he and his team are now working on the second season of the show.
